“Odors have a power of persuasion stronger than that of words, appearances, emotions, or will. The persuasive power of an odor cannot be fended off, it enters into us like breath into our lungs, it fills us up, imbues us totally. There is no remedy for it.”
― Patrick Süskind, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer
Aroma is such an important part of our lives. Whether we recognize it or not, a scent can profoundly affect our mood. It can bring a memory to mind or cause us to turn our nose up because we dislike it. Whatever the reason, we can use essential oil aromas to promote our desired mood, such as relaxation, energy, or sleep. One of the quickest and most powerful ways to experience essential oils is through diffusion.
The way essential oils are diffused, however, is up to the individual.
Someone suggests using essential oils for diffusion, soothing baths, massages, and topical application through a variety of different methods. We rounded up some interesting ways that we can diffuse essential oils.
Nebulizer Diffusers

Nebulizing diffusers are more of a full-fledged appliance, normally outfitted with controls for output levels, timers, and often fancy LED lights. What’s more important is that they’re more powerful, able to completely fill large spaces with pleasant aromatherapy scents, and deliver the health benefits of our chosen essential oil. Some can cover up to 1,000 square feet, depending on the size of the model we purchase.
Ultrasonic Diffusers

A good diffuser will not only make a room smell nice, but also it will add to the ambiance of the room. Ultrasonic diffusers use sonic waves to create a more delicate mist containing microscopic droplets of essential oil and water. The diffusion is visible as curling tendrils of fog, which adds another dimension of aesthetic appeal.
Passive Diffusers
Ultrasonic and nebulizing diffusers are the best tools for aromatherapy, but they’re not the only way to spread the scent and health benefits of high-quality essential oils. Here are some less-expensive, less-effective, often DIY-inspired methods of passive essential oil diffusion.
Panel Diffusers :

Come with washable and reusable refill pads with different colors, add suitable essential oils we like on the pads, then clip it on the car, office, bedroom, and anywhere we want. Then let our loved aroma around us anywhere and anytime. (There is essential oil included or not included for choice.)
Candle Diffusers

Place Diffuser Oil bottles in candle and allow the fragrance to diffuse. Scent notes include cinnamon, clove, allspice, and orange peel. Hand-poured soy Harvest Spice blend candle in a glass pot with 1 cotton wick for large and 3 cotton wicks for small. Small comes in a box and largely comes with a gold lid. Candle pot burn time is approximately 40 hours (for large) and 30 hours (for small).
Reed Diffusers:

These are pretty much what they sound like: thin sticks that look like reeds and can be placed into a decorative vase, where they soak up essential oils and gently disperse the scent through evaporation. If we eat with disposable chopsticks and are into upcycling, we can use the chopsticks as reed diffusers.
When thinking of which aromatherapy we’ll need, we will be relieved to know that the only things we need are oils and one of the more common aromatherapy products, like diffusers, to feel the benefits. Different oils offer different effects so knowing which ones are best for the results we want to achieve is a good first step. The most popular aromatherapy oils are peppermint, lavender, lemon, rosemary, eucalyptus, and tea tree oil. Air Innovations has its own pack of fragrance oils to help us get started. Once we know which oils we want, get our diffuser from Air Innovations and join the millions of people using aromatherapy supplies to help improve our health.
